No matter who we are or where we're from, we should all be able to feel safe. That's why I'm taking part in Miles for refugees this June, raising money to support people who've been forced to flee their homes for safety.
For the first time on record, more than 100 million people worldwide are refugees. That's 1 in every 78 people, and that's why it's vital right now to show that we believe every refugee matters.
I'm challenging myself to walk 160 miles in 30 days- the distance from Etitrea to Sudan, and an average of 5.33 miles a day. I am hoping to go for a walk every single day in solidarity with refugees and will post regular updates. Every mile I move and every pound I raise will help people fleeing violence, conflict and climate-related disasters. And by sponsoring me, you'll be helping them too.
